Coral out-planting helps restore local reef tracts by establishing genetically diverse colonies of Acropora corals.

Using scientifically based methods we monitor our out-planted corals. Once planted, we use photo monitoring and perform coral surveys to keep tabs on the current status of our corals as well as to document long-term changes. We monitor a variety of factors such as growth rates and indicators of how coral stressors like predation, bleaching and disease affect growing corals. By understanding the current status of our restoration project, we can plot a course forward with measured certainty.

To date, the foundation has out-planted over 1000 corals.
